So 2015 has brought lots of change, challenges and exciting ideas! Its been a busy one so far & its hard to know where to start! So I took a good look at where I was going and what I wanted for the future. I knew something had to change I wasn’t achieving or coming close to what I knew I had in me! I wanted to move studios first off, I had tried to make the space work for a little over a year and it didn’t flow so that was on my to do list first. By pure chance I had friends moving out of a great space, to open their Haberdashery called Buttons . Lucky for them it was only downstairs! Handy as it’s not too for a cuppa! But now we are both far too busy to stop for one! So I had found the perfect location the only problem was getting out of the old studio. After a few months of advertising it went. Phew, just in the nick of time. I had a moving in date, I had nearly a week to get it useable, which sounds ok if I was just moving in, but I didn’t want to just move my studio I wanted to knock walls down and build stuff! I might need to mention here I was also training for my 1st marathon and entering the peak of my training plan. I can hand on heart say I finally may have bitten off more than I could cope with! I was on the edge! But with the amazing help of lots of friends and family we did it! My husband is amazing and takes everything I throw at him and makes me feel like I can achieve anything. In fairness I only can only do what I do with his support. Having 4 little boys to bring up in this madness is just part of the challenge! I’m no longer working alone either my great friend AnnMarie has been helping not just in the studio but with my family which has kept me moving in the right direction. AnnMarie will be in the studio more this year helping lots with viewings and behind the scenes. I have been able to build and arrange so many areas and felt the time was right to make the hardest decision so far….. Giving up weddings!!! Gulp! Yep, I built my early years around weddings and now I was deciding to end this amazing journey. I had to pick the studio over the weddings to really achieve what I was originally looking. I want to refine my work to achieve something amazing, to be really great at one thing and to do that unfortunately I’ve had to say my goodbyes to the weddings. So this is the start of Janine Warwick Photography Studio and my new website. Offering bump and newborn photography and beyond, cake smashes for 1st birthday, fairy and superhero days for the kids to enjoy, and family portraits to grace the walls.
A massive thank you to Matt at MB Restoration, Matt bulit my infinity wall and the great new white circle which is a great new feature for the family portraits.
The signs went up, big thank you to The Local Sign Company.
I’m really looking forward to a busy year and seeing lots of families walk though the door to make this all worth the hard work.
Here are a few images of our journey so far this year.
